Benchmade Redoubt Black 430BK-02 pocket knife

The Benchmade Redoubt 430BK-02 is part of Benchmade’s Black Class series. The knife is robust and incredibly versatile. Made for first responders or EDC fanatics looking for a reliable knife. For situations where a normal pocket knife is not sufficient.

The Grivory handle is a striking feature. This is a very lightweight plastic that is seriously strong for its weight. Nothing new, you might be thinking. And that’s true. Until you look a little closer! The black handle scale is integral. This means that it is made from one piece of Grivory. As a result, the texture also runs over the back of the handle, giving you great grip on the handle. The texture sits right in the palm of your hand, in fact.

The blade is made from CPM D2 steel. This is a tough tool steel that retains its sharpness well and is also easy to sharpen. However, be careful with moisture and acids: D2 is not completely stainless. Benchmade has tackled this problem by applying a black Cerakote coating. The blade is locked in its open position by an Axis lock mechanism. The knife features steel liners at the front of the handle for additional strength around the lock.

You can carry the Benchmade Redoubt securely in your trouser pocket with the deep-carry pocket clip. This means the knife is quickly available, but not very noticeable.
