The Civivi Baby Banter C19068S-DS1 is a compact and practical EDC knife, designed by Ben Petersen. In the pocket knife community Ben is also known as @ben_banters with his saying What iiiiisss up guys! He envisioned this large version of the Banter as a pocket knife that didn’t need to look like any other pocket knife. People asked him why he didn’t release that unique knife. The cooperation with WE Knife was sought after, and now it is here: the WE Knife Banter. By popular demand, there is now also a smaller version of the Banter: this Civivi Baby Banter.



The Civivi Baby Banter C19068S-DS1 Carbon Fiber, Damascus pocket knife, Ben Petersen design is a compact EDC knife in the colour blue, black. With its blade length of 5.9 cm, it’s a modest pocket knife that effortlessly fits inside your pocket. You can also notice this in the weight of 55 g. You’ll barely notice you’re carrying it with you!



You can easily open the Civivi Baby Banter C19068S-DS1 Carbon Fiber, Damascus pocket knife, Ben Petersen design with one hand using the thumb stud. This knife runs on ball bearings, ensuring the knife runs smoothly. Once opened, the liner lock ensures that the blade is locked and won’t unintentionally snap shut.



Blade of stainless damascus
The blade of thisCivivi Baby Banter is made of stainless damascus. It’s gorgeous and super-chic, but also made to be used. Damascus is made by fire-welding different steels together and then folding them several times. Obviously at very high temperatures and with outstanding craftsmanship; ancient techniques combined with modern craftsmanship.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.



Carbon-fibre handle

The handle of this Civivi Baby Banter C19068S-DS1 Carbon Fiber, Damascus pocket knife, Ben Petersen design is made of carbon fibre, and measures 8 cm in length. Carbon fibre is an incredibly strong material. For the handles of pocket knives, carbon fibre sheet material is used. The carbon fibres, often first woven, are pressed into a strong resin under high pressure. The result is a super strong, lightweight material. It is no coincidence that this type of carbon fibre is also very popular in the construction of sports cars and racing cars, as well as in the aerospace industry.

Carbon fibre is a fantastic material for a knife handle, as it keeps the handle nicely lightweight without having to compromise on strength. Moreover, carbon fibre looks amazing. The layers in the material give carbon fibre a high-tech look.
