The only thing you need to take into account is rust: D2 is almost completely stainless but could, after long-term exposure to moist, acids or salt still stain. Fortunately you get a lot of toughness and strength in return.

You open the Churp with two hands, with the help of the nailnick. Because you cannot open it with one hand it is legal in many places in Europe. A solid liner lock locks the blade when opened.
