Gerber Multi-Plier 600 multitool stainless steel, 7500

The Gerber MP600 is a compact but fully functional multi-tool made from stainless steel. This multi-tool is equipped with a number of useful tools. Think of an easily to be opened pair of pliers, a replaceable wire cutter, a knife with a smooth blade, a knife with a serrated blade, a file, a can and bottle opener, a ruler, and a couple of screw drivers. All tools can be unfolded after which they are locked in place. This prevents unwelcome retracting and ensures safe usage.


Pliers
The pliers can be easily opened because of the clever sliding mechanism. You can open the pliers by pressing both buttons on the side of the tool. The nose has been enhanced with small teeth which will give you additional grip. The pair of pliers also includes a wire cutter, a tool which can also be used for cutting small twigs and stems. Massive advantage: the wire cutter’s triangular knives can be loosened and replaced when they have become blunt. Tip: when the blade has become blunt you can loosen it and turn it 120 degrees. As such another angle of the triangle presents itself giving you a new sharp wire cutter. After three rotations the entire blade can be replaced. A good pair of pliers can be used surprisingly often!


A knife with a smooth blade
The drop point shaped blade is made from 420HC-stainless steel. This stainless type of steel is enhanced with more carbon than regular 420-steel. Because of this addition the blade will stay sharp much longer. The shape of the blade is perfect for practically all tasks that require a blade. You can easily open the blade one-handedly from the inside of the tool. The polished length of the blade is approximately 5 cm and the blade has been polished at a 28 degree angle.


Knife with a serrated blade
This blade is also made from 420HC-stainless steel. This blade has a sharp point thanks to the ‘sheep foot’-style blade. This means that the blade is not made with a sharp angle leading up to the point given the edge more support from the spine of the blade. This shape is perfect when opening boxes, especially because of the serration! The serration also comes in handy when cutting materials that are rich in fibres. Think, for instance, of rope. The polished length of the blade is approximately 6 cm. This blade is about 2.5 mm along its spine.


Equipped with
The Gerber MP600 is equipped with a nylon sheath with belt loops. The sheath can be horizontally worn on your belt to give you quick and easy access to your multi-tool. The clasp is made from Velcro and can therefore be opened easily.
