The ANV M311 Spelter is a cool survival knife, made in the Czech Republic by Acta Non Verba Knives. A robust knife, made from extreme situations. Developed in cooperation with operators from different parts of the Czech Armed Forces. They tested this knife all over the world. From freezing circumstances over the Arctic circle to the sweltering heat of South-East Asia.

Because of the finger groove behind the edge you can work closely to the blade with you hand during detailed tasks. At the same time you have enough grip over the back part of the handle for the more demanding tasks. The edge is nice and balanced in terms of shape and, as such, very versatile. A relatively pointed tip, a round belly and large part that is nice and straight. The M311 Spelter will feel at home anywhere.

Blade made of Elmax steel
The blade of the ANV Knives M311 SPELTER DLC Camo Elmax, Coyote Micarta Handle, Black Kydex Sheath, survival knife is made of Elmax. It’s tough, easy to sharpen and has a very good sharpness retention. These features, in combination with the corrosion resistance, makes Elmax a great steel. Elmax is made by Uddeholm in Sweden.



The blade is finished with a DLC coating, which stands for ‘Diamond Like Carbon’. It’s a very hard coating that is even harder than the steel. This makes DLC very scratch-resistant, and this coating protects the blade against corrosion. DLC is very hard, but it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.



Micarta handle

This is a composite material made of fabric and synthetic resin. If you look closely, you can see a subtle texture on the surface, sometimes it looks almost like wood. This material is strong and stable, and it’s very grippy.

However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
