The blade of the ANV P200, P200-047, Black Cerakote Sleipner, Olive GRNPU, survival knife measures 10 cm in length and 3.5 mm in thickness. The total length is 23.5 cm.



Sleipner-steel blade
The blade has a length of 10 cm and is made of Sleipner steel, a robust steel type with a nicely balanced composition of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. As a result, this steel offers excellent sharpness retention as well as toughness, ensuring it won’t chip as quickly as some other steel types. This makes Sleipner steel perfect for heavy-duty use.

Moreover, this steel is fairly corrosion resistant thanks to the 8% chromium content, but it’s not entirely stainless. Please make sure to clean the knife after use, dry it well and to treat it with oil or wax, especially in moist environments. With a simple sharpening stone, you can easily sharpen the blade back to razor-sharpness – even on the go!



This blade is finished with a Cerakote coating. This is a popular coating also used for engine parts, for example. It is a very ‘tough’ coating. It has good impact resistance. Traces of use are therefore less likely to show up. However, it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.



The ANV P200, P200-047, Black Cerakote Sleipner, Olive GRNPU, survival knife comes with a sheath made of kydex, a sturdy plastic that will keep the steel safe. However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
