Blade Made of CPM S35VN Steel
The blade of this Artisan Cutleryis made from CPM S35VN steel. This is a premium stainless steel produced by Crucible Industries in the United States. S35VN retains its sharpness well, is quite tough and offers good corrosion resistance. CPM S35VN was developed as a successor to CPM S30V, in collaboration with world-renowned knife maker Chris Reeve.
The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.
Handle made of titanium and carbon fibre

This creates a stunning combination of high-tech materials that make the knife lightweight and extremely strong.
