Case Canoe Amber Jigged Bone, 00263, 62131 CV pocket knife

The Case Canoe is a traditional pocket knife. Incredibly stylish and practical. The name comes from the design of a canoe. When you look at the handle from the side you will immediately notice the similarities. In this case the pocket knife has been enhanced with two similar-shaped blades. The only difference is their size. After all, the large blade is 6.5 cm long and the small blade is 5.0 cm long. The protrusions on both sides that make it look like a canoe actually have a purpose. They make sure the sharp back of the blade won’t get caught in your pocket. Very clever!


Case CV Carbon steel


The blade is made from Case Chrome Vanadium steel, also called CV steel. A type of steel that is praised for the fact that it can easily be sharpened. With only a minimal amount of effort you can end up with a razor-sharp knife. You do, however, have to look out for rust. Long-term exposure to moisture, salt or acids will discolour the blade or even cause rust. Enthusiasts will appreciate that a patina will form on the blade over time. This means that the steel will become matte, and grey. As such the knife will get a character of its own and become unique.


Amber Jigged Bone handle


The handle is made from Amber Jigged Bone which is, in fact, cow bone enhanced with an interesting texture. Subsequently it has been given a beautiful colour and a nice polish. This classic material radiates class and elegance. As a result it completely matches the rest of the Case knives. In this case a Peach Seed texture was chosen.
