Case USMC Marine Knife 00334, USMC, hunting knife

The Case USMC Knife is a legendary fixed knife. It is an authentic reproduction of the original USMC knife which was once offered as a prototype to the U.S. Armed Forces. The origin of this model lies in the Second World war when the United States Marine Corps was looking for a new knife. In terms of model they chose this design. To meet the high demand the pattern was made by several different American knife makers. This edition of the Case is a very accurate reproduction of what the knife used to look like.


The blade is made from 1095 carbon steel. A tough type of steel which can easily be sharpened in the field. It can handle quite a bit, even though it isn’t stainless. Be careful with acids, salt and moisture. The tip of the blade is also sharpened on the side of the spine.


Leather handle


The handle on this hunting knife is made from leather discs. These discs are stacked around the tang of the knife and glued down under a lot of pressure. At the ends a couple of other layers have been added as a decoration to contrast the leather. These layers are made from vulcanized rubber.


To carry the Case Leather Hunter with you, you can use the included leather sheath. With the safe push button it makes sure that the knife stays in place. The sheath has been enhanced with a belt loop that has room for belts up to 12.0 cm wide.
