Civivi Elementum Fixed Blade C2105B, micarta, fixed knife

The Civivi Elementum Fixed Blade Micarta is a cool fixed version of the popular Civivi Elementum. You clearly see design elements such as the flipper, which, for this knife, functions as a finger-guard. This fixed version won’t close like a pocket knife. As such the knife is a little more robust and better suited for outdoor use. Like hiking through nature or a weekend of camping.

Civivi Elementum steel type

The blade is 10 cm long in total and made from D2 steel. This is a tough type of steel that retains it sharpness well. You can easily sharpen it yourself which is great if you use it on a daily basis. Do, however, be careful with moisture and acids: D2 is not completely stainless. Always clean the knife after use, especially when it has come into contact with (fruit) acids, salt or moisture.

Handle Civivi Elementum

The handle is made from micarta. This is a rough composite material made from linen and synthetic resin that provides plenty of grip. It’s incredibly strong and it feels great in hand. Especially when wet, it offers you more grip because the textile fibres expand. Practical in outdoor conditions. Because of the flat scales and thin sheath you can carry this knife close to your body. Great for EDC or practical purposes.
