The CRKT HZ4 2924 Black Titanium Nitride SK-5, Black G10 is a smaller version of the CRKT HZ6, designed by James Williams. The knife is an homage to the Hira-Zukuri. Originally a short and classic Japanese sword from the 8th century, this characterizing blade shape was originally used for daggers and short knives. Later also for swords. The CRKT HZ4 is a modern interpretation and beautifully embodies this Japanese classic.




The blade of the CRKT HZ4 2924 Black Titanium Nitride SK-5, Black G10, fixed knife, James Williams design measures 12 cm in length and 5 mm in thickness. The total length is 22.5 cm.



G10 handle
The CRKT HZ4 2924 Black Titanium Nitride SK-5, Black G10, fixed knife, James Williams design features a handle made from G10. This is a composite material made of glass fibre and synthetic resin. It is very strong, offers a lot of grip and is comfortable to hold. Moreover, it is not affected by moisture and it is a very stable material. It’s an excellent choice for the handle of a fixed blade.

However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
