With your index finger through the ring, you push the blade into place with your thumb. The blade is kept in place by a sturdy lock. Because you also wrap your hand around the handle, you will make sure the knife stays open. With a somewhat hidden latch you can easily unlock the blade as well. It might take some getting used to at first, but when you are used to the Provoke it will be a piece of cake.

Aside from the interesting mechanism, the Provoke is simply a great pocket knife. The blade is made from D2 steel. It’s nice and thin behind the edge, so it cuts really well. The handle is made from solid 6061 T6 aluminium. This sturdy material is often used in the aerospace industry.
