DMT Survival-Sharp 20005 pocket sharpening stone

The DMT Survival Sharp 20005 is a practical pocket sharpening stone, comparable to the slightly larger DMT Slydr Sharp. You can use it to sharpen both flat and serrated blades. The core of the sharpener is comprised of a diamond-coated sharpening stone, with the round cut-outs you have grown accustomed to from DMT.


The translucent holder functions as a handle after folding out the sharpening stone and makes sure the stone stays in place during use. You don’t need water for this diamond-coated stone. As such you can use it whenever and wherever you are. As said you can also use it to sharpen serrated knives. The pocket sharpener is namely enhanced with a removable diamond-coated sharpening steel. With it you can sharpen both serrated and curved edges.


A fiery surprise


But that is not all! At the end of the sharpener you will also find another second removable rod. This black rod is a so-called firesteel which will help you build a fire. A great addition when you embark upon a survival adventure and it starts to get dark out. Hold the rod at a 45-degree angle over flammable material and scrape your knife over the rod.
