The EGWHD scope mounts are thepremium line of aluminum one piece bases. They are machined from a heavier duty aluminum and the full cross slots allow for the use of quick detach rings. This mount is perfect for the heavy hitting calibers such as .338 Lapua, or for the shooter who has to have the highest quality for their application. We recommend using square cross lugs with all picatinny style rings.
Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The cross slots are also machined the full width of the mount and gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specs maintaining tolerances of +/-.002″.

If you have a lightweight rifle (carbon barrel, lightweight stock, etc. typically under 6.5 lbs) that is drilled and tapped for #6-48 screws AND you are using a heavy scope (Vortex Razor, Nightforce, etc.) AND you have a magnum caliber, we recommend drilling your mount and receiver for a recoil pin.
