The Extrema Ratio MF1 Desert Warfare is a robust pocket knife, designed for military personnel. Solid, tough and powerful: that’s the MF1 in a nutshell.
The blade is made from Böhler N690 steel. This is a very corrosion-resistant steel with good sharpness retention. The MF1 is delivered razor-sharp, which is one of Extrema Ratio’s trademarks. A glass breaker protrudes between the pocket clip. You can use this to effortlessly break car windows in the event of an emergency.
You open the MF1 with the thumb stud. A small part of the blade sticks out like a flipper, but that takes some practice and a good wrist movement. When opened, a solid liner lock keeps the blade in place. Extrema Ratio has added an extra catch that can be used to secure the liner lock. There is also an extra kind of security built in around the pivot. This screw is knurled all the way round. The locking screw fits precisely into one of these knurls, meaning that the pivot can never be loosened unintentionally.
