The blade is made from Böhler N690 steel. This is a very corrosion-resistant steel with good sharpness retention. It has a remarkable thin grind, which makes it an excellent tool for food preparation and other detailed tasks. The handle is made of anticorodal, a special aluminium alloy that is highly corrosion-resistant. The Resolza is extremely lightweight. When opened, the blade is locked in place by a liner lock. You use two hands to open the Extrema Ratio Resolza. This means you’re allowed to carry it around with you in many different European countries.
