The new Extrema Ratio Versa, Expeditions 04.1000.0214/EXP from Extrema Ratio is, as its name suggests, a versatile multi-purpose knife. This knife is intended as a back-up knife for outdoor activities, everyday (EDC) use, but also for ‘tactical’ situations. The Versa is available in two different models: the Versa Satin, perfect for everyday use, and the Versa Expeditions, more suitable for outdoor activities, survival and tactical situations. Blade made of Böhler N690 steel
The blade of the Extrema Ratio Versa, Expeditions 04.1000.0214/EXP fixed knife is made of Böhler N690, a very corrosion-resistant steel from Austria. It is tough and easy to sharpen, even with relatively limited resources. Needless to say, it retains its sharp edge very well.



The blade features a blackwashed finish. For this finish, the blade is first finished with a coating, then tumbled. This makes the blade look like it has been around for a while, kind of like jeans. A big advantage of this is that traces of use will be much less noticeable.



The Extrema Ratio Versa, Expeditions 04.1000.0214/EXP fixed knife comes with a sheath made of kydex, a sturdy plastic that will keep the steel safe. However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
