Fällkniven CC4 ceramic pocket sharpening stone

The Fällkniven CC4 is a double-sided ceramic sharpening stone, with synthetic sapphire as a binding agent. The result is an extremely hard and wear and tear resistant sharpening stone. A wear and tear resistant sharpening stone also means that the stone can be really small. Great if you spend time on the road and want to sharpen your knives.

How to use Fällkniven CC4 ceramic sharpening stones

A main advantage of this sharpening stone is that you don’t need water or oil as you sharpen your knives. A bit of water though will help make sure the sharpening particles stay in place. The moment you notice the stone is no longer working as it should you can clean it with some warm water and a cloth or brush. You can also use some mild liquid soap if need be.

Grain size Fällkniven CC4

The stone might feel a little rough at first, but will become smoother during use. The grain size of the dark side is 1 micron. With it your knife will be razor-sharp in no time. The white side is, with its 0.1 micron, even finer. This side is mostly suited to polish sharp knives. When sharpening blunt knives it is best if you start with a coarser stone.

Practical sheath

The back of the sheath appears to be inside out, but this is for a reason. The rough side of the sheath also functions as a leather strop. With it your knife will become as smooth as a mirror. You can even use some stropping compound to increase the stropping function.
