The Fissler Ceratal Comfort 159-221-24-100 Orbit Black, frying pan, 24 cm is a medium-sized and practical frying pan with a ceramic non-stick coating. The high rim makes frying and turning ingredients easy and the upright rim maximizes the cooking surface. So you can fry quite a lot with a relatively small pan! The durable production methods and ceramic non-stick coating free of PTFE, PFOA and PFAS make this pan a durable and environmentally-friendly option. And all of that without having to compromise on the ease of using a pan with non-stick coating.

Fissler Ceratal ceramic pans

The Fissler Ceratal pans have a water-based ceramic non-stick coating. Free of PFAS, PTFE and PFOA. Fissler’s factory is located in Idar-Oberstein, a region that’s famous for its gorgeous gemstones. This innovative non-stick coating is made using the left-over rocks from this region.

These rocks are readily available in local quarries and mines. Processing this rock into a ceramic coating results in a smooth surface with excellent non-stick properties. This facilitates cooking without the need for oil!

What is remarkable about this non-stick coating is that it is entirely water-based. Traditional non-stick coatings often contain PTFE, a synthetic polymer that releases harmful fumes when it gets too hot. By avoiding PTFE, Fissler has found a safer and healthier way to cook, while still enjoying the convenience of a non-stick coating. Using water as a base for the coating not only minimises the emission of harmful gases in your kitchen, the entire production cycle is in fact greener.

Fissler Cookstar base

The pans’ renowned Cookstar base has a core of 60% recycled aluminium for maximum thermal conductivity. This gives the pans an even distribution of heat for a better cooking result. This bottom also means you can use the pan on an induction hob.

Fissler Comfort handle

These pans have a very comfortable, extra safe handle. The handle doesn’t get hot during cooking, and has a finger guard to further prevent you from accidentally burning your fingers. The pan is oven-safe up to 180°C. The pan can be put in the dishwasher, but we recommend washing the pan by hand.
