The GiantMouse GMF1-XL Green Canvas Micarta, Stonewashed N6 is a large version of the standard GMF1. This knife retains the slim, compact design and sheepsfoot blade shape, but it has a larger blade and handle. In addition, this knife is equipped with handle scales for improved functionality and grip. The lanyard hole at the back and a strategically placed hole at the front in the handle not only provide a better grip, but also add to the knife’s aesthetic appeal. For those who prefer a skeletonised handle; you can simply remove the handle scales. Wrap any paracord through the holes for a custom, tactical look. This knife comes with a brown/red leather sheath.




The blade of the GiantMouse GMF1-XL Green Canvas Micarta, Stonewashed N690, Burgundy Leather Sheath, fixed knife measures 8 cm in length and 4 mm in thickness. The total length is 16 cm.



Blade made of Böhler N690 steel
The blade of the GiantMouse GMF1-XL Green Canvas Micarta, Stonewashed N690, Burgundy Leather Sheath, fixed knife is made of Böhler N690, a very corrosion-resistant steel from Austria. It is tough and easy to sharpen, even with relatively limited resources. Needless to say, it retains its sharp edge very well.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.



Micarta handle
The handle of the GiantMouse GMF1-XL Green Canvas Micarta, Stonewashed N690, Burgundy Leather Sheath, fixed knife is made of micarta. This is a composite material made of fabric and synthetic resin. If you look closely, you can see a subtle texture on the surface, sometimes it looks almost like wood. This material is strong and stable, and it’s very grippy.

Designer Jesper Voxnæs
This GiantMouse GMF1-XL Green Canvas Micarta, Stonewashed N690, Burgundy Leather Sheath, fixed knife is designed by Danish knife maker Jesper Voxnæs. He is among the most prolific knife designers of recent years. Many different brands sell knives he designed. From American brands to Italian brands, to the brand he himself is involved with: GiantMouse.

Danish design runs through his veins. His style is very distinctive, and it is easy to recognize the knives he designed. Think of a specific shape for the thumb hole or the butt-end of the handle of a fixed blade. Jesper knows what works and what we knife lovers want. He incorporates this perfectly in his designs



GiantMouse Knives: born from a collaboration between designers and collector
GiantMouse was born from a collaboration between Danish knife makers Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnæs on one side, and American collector and entrepreneur Jim Wirth on the other side. Wirth collects knives from both Danish makers. The chemistry between the three was so good that they decided to start their own knife brand together: GiantMouse. Ansø and Voxnæs do the designs and product development, Wirth handles the business end. Production is outsourced to top factories in Italy and Asia.
