LionSteel T5 knife: Italian design, German steel

The blade of the LionSteel T5 is made from Niolox steel. A German type of tool steel that is fairly stainless but when exposed to salt and acids can stain a little. When it comes to sharpness retention Niolox can be compared to D2 steel, but it is more resistant against chipping. It has a fine structure and it is easy to sharpen.

A characteristic of the LionSteel T5 is the micarta handle. This handle is milled from one solid piece of canvas micarta. As such the handle is very strong. As such it feels amazing in hand. You feel straight away that it can handle quite a lot. Thanks to the large finger guard at the front of the handle, your hand is nicely locked around the handle. This keeps your hand away from the blade. The handle is large enough to hold it with a full fist. Even while wearing gloves.

The LionSteel T5 comes with a very luxurious leather belt sheath. The sheath is enhanced with a belt loop (max. Belt width: 5.5 cm). But also with an extensive MOLLE-fixation. This gives you the freedom to wear the T5 any way you want.
