Nitecore HU2000 UHE LED, rechargeable head torch, 2000 lumens

The Nitecore HU2000 is a tactical head torch intended for professional use. The body of the torch is made of lightweight yet strong polycarbonate. With a rating of IP68, this torch is completely waterproof and dustproof up to 2 metres deep, and it has an impact resistance of up to 1 metre. What makes this head torch completely unique is the way you use it. The torch only has an internal battery for emergency mode. As a power source, you need to connect the included USB-C cable to a powerbank, preferably one with an output of >20W and support for ‘PD protocol’. Should you lose your power source, Nitecore has made sure that with the emergency mode you still have enough light to find your way around for a long time.

The head torch offers a maximum output of 2000 lumens and shines up to 160 metres far. Included accessories: a USB-C extension cable, a Hook-and-Loop strap, a USB-C connector protector, 2 spare ‘loops’, a headband and a clip for ‘multi-angle’ mounting options.

The Nitecore HU2000’s LED has 5 white-light levels, an SOS function, a beacon mode, 2 red-light modes and 1 flashing red light. The HU2000 is easy to operate with the 2 simply identifiable buttons on top of the torch.

How to use the HU2000

Operating the torch is relatively simple: press the power button once briefly to switch it on. Then briefly press the button to cycle between the different light intensities. For SOS mode or beacon mode, it does not matter whether the torch is turned on or not. For these modes, press the power button twice briefly, then once briefly to cycle through the different modes. To switch the light off, briefly press the power button again. When the torch is on, you can press the mode button to switch between red and white light. Lastly, you can hold down both buttons to lock the lamp, preventing unintentional switching during transport, for example.

Turbo: 2000 lumens, maximum burn time of approx. 9 hours, beam distance of 160 metres

High: 1000 lumens, maximum burn time of approx. 11 hours, beam distance of 120 metres

Mid: 400 lumens, maximum burn time of approx. 17 hours, beam distance of 75 metres

Low: 180 lumens, maximum burn time of approx. 31 hours, beam distance of 50 metres

Emergency: 20 lumens, maximum burn time of approx. 66 hours, beam distance of 25 metres

SOS: 1000 lumens

Beacon: 1000 lumens

Red High: 15 lumens, maximum burn time of approx. 52 hours, beam distance of 7 metres

Red Low: 5 lumens, maximum burn time of approx. 78 hours, beam distance of 5 metres

Red Slow Flashing: 15 lumens

If you use a powerbank with an output below 20W and without PD protocol support, this torch has the following light modes

The included clip also allows you to attach this head torch to your work clothes, on your belt or wherever you can get the clip system on. This makes the HU2000 not only incredibly practical, but also hugely versatile.
