Nitecore MH27 LED-torch with UV-light

The Nitecore MH27UV is great for multi-functional use. The Cree XP-L HI V3 LED light provides even, white light with a focused beam. As such you light up a distance of 462 meters. The flashlight also contains a red, UV and blue LED light. The red light is perfect to maintain your night vision, also when combined with night vision goggles. With the blue light you can easily find traces of blood. Great when hunting or for law enforcement.

The UV light makes this flashlight really unique. It ensures that everything that contains phosphorus will become visible. When using an ultra-violet light phosphorus absorbs the energy and turns it into visible light. As such you can, for instance, see the authenticity of identity cards, banknotes, gems and minerals. But you can also light up blood, urine and saliva. As such this unique flashlight is also great for forensic research and search ops.

Do, however, keep this in mind: When using the UV light mode you should never point it at your eyes. If you do, you could permanently damage your eyes.

How to use the Nitecore MH27UV

The Nitecore Mh27UV contains three switches. The back of the light contains one switch. The tactical switch has a momentary-on-function. Hold the tactical switch down and the light will momentarily turn the highest mode on. As soon as you completely press down the switch it will stay on. Thanks to the memory of the light it will always start with the mode last used. This also applies to the stroboscope mode. This makes it extra appealing for, for instance, security personnel or cops.

The two other switches are located on the head of the light. You can use it to control the light modes. With the + and – you can switch between the light modes. If you press the + you activate the turbo mode. If you press the – you activate the red light mode. You activate the special modes by pressing both side switches at the same time. As such you reach the stroboscope mode, SOS mode, beacon mode and the red, blue and red/blue flashing modes.

The burn time of the highest mode is calculated at the moment the lamp is switched on in the highest position. After 2-3 minutes, the lamp automatically switches to the lower light mode due to temperature regulation.

Charging the Nitecore MH27UV

The head of the light contains a micro-usb port. A rubber cover ensures that the head is protected against water and dust. A such the USB-port also cannot be damaged. Want to check the battery status while charging the light? A blue charging indicator will show you the charging status. As soon as the battery is fully charged, the indictor will stop.

The Nitecore Mh27UV works with one 18650 Li-Ion battery (not included) or two Cr123A batteries (not included). To quickly see what the battery voltage is you need to turn the light off. By pressing all three switches at once the battery indicator will blink up to four times. Four times means full, one time means almost empty. This indicator also works in combination with the Cr123A batteries.

The Nitecore Mh27U comes with one pocket clip, wrist strap, spare O-ring, spare rubber switch cap, tactical ring, micro-usb charging cable, spare USB cover and a nylon holster.

Intelligent protection

If you use the turbo mode for a longer period of time the light will start to heat up. When the light reaches a temperature of 65 degrees Celsius or higher, the light will automatically drop the amount of lumen to lower the temperature. As soon as the temperature drops the light will switch back to the turbo mode.
