Nordic Knife Design Stoat 100 2073, Black Canvas Micarta fixed knife

The Nordic Knife Design Stoat 100 2073, Black Canvas Micarta is a slim, minimalist outdoor knife for various cutting tasks in nature. This is a Scandinavian interpretation of a Japanese Kwaiken knife, with a distinctive full-tang handle and a combination of a tanto and puukko-style blade shape. A strong flat grind of 32 degrees provides a bit more steel, and thus strength, behind the edge. The Stoat 100 is therefore not only elegant in its simplicity, but also very robust.




The blade of the Nordic Knife Design Stoat 100 2073, Black Canvas Micarta fixed knife measures 10 cm in length and 3.8 mm in thickness. The total length is 20 cm.



Blade made of Sandvik 12C27 steel
The blade is made of Sandvik 12C27 steel, a corrosion-resistant steel from Sweden that was specially developed for knives. It is a steel grade that strikes the perfect balance between toughness, ease of sharpening, corrosion resistance and sharpness retention.



The blade of this knife is enhanced with a ‘satin finish’. This is a chic and tasteful finish that is very popular.



Micarta handle
The handle of the Nordic Knife Design Stoat 100 2073, Black Canvas Micarta fixed knife is made of micarta. This is a composite material made of fabric and synthetic resin. If you look closely, you can see a subtle texture on the surface, sometimes it looks almost like wood. This material is strong and stable, and it’s very grippy.
