The Ohta OFB SS 90 is a remarkably beautiful knife, made by master knife maker Hiroaki Ohta. The 90 in the name refers to the 90 mm blade length. A practical knife for EDC purposes, but also while camping or cooking this fixed knife can come in handy.



The blade is made from D2 steel. A tough type of steel that has been popular in the world of knives for years. It retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. Do, however, be careful with corrosion: D2 is not completely stainless. Fruit acids and such need to be rinsed off after use, otherwise you will see discolourations on the blade.



Canvas Micarta


Micarta is a great material for pocket knife handles. This material is comprised of canvas fibres and synthetic resin. Offers enough grip and feels great in hand. The great thing about micarta is that it absorbs the greases from your hands and will form a patina as a result. As such each handle will be unique in time!



The Ohta OFB SS comes in a remarkable leather, almost Scandinavian-styled, sheath. It contains a metal clip. With it you can hang it from the belt loop of your jeans.
