The Petzl Actik Core E065AA02 head torch is compact yet powerful. This head torch has an output of 600 lumens, has exceptional endurance and is easy to use. The two light beams, wide or focused, make the head torch suitable for outdoor activities such as mountaineering, running or backpacking. You can also choose between red and white light. Red light is perfect for maintaining your night vision and – even more importantly – many animals don’t notice red light.

The Actik Core E065AA02 meets the IPX4 waterproof standard. This means that the head torch is splash-proof. You can use the torch when it’s raining, but you cannot submerge it in water. The torch works perfectly in rain showers or snow. The torch can also be tilted into several positions. Practical when you want to read in the dark.

Petzl Actik Core E065AA02 light options

What makes this torch so practical is the fact that it offers two light profiles within one torch: One for close by and one for far away. The choice is yours. The Petzl Actik Core E065AA02 offers three white light levels and two red LED modes: steady or flashing mode. You can change it with just one push of a button, depending on the situation. Briefly press the switch to turn the light on and to cycle through the different light modes. The torch starts in the least bright light mode. After going through all the light modes, the torch turns off. If you press the power button for half a second, the red light is activated.

The light from the Actik Core E065AA02 is strong enough to illuminate a distance of up to 115 metres. If you choose the low mode of 7 lumens, the Actik Core E065AA02 will burn for a very long time. This mode also makes maximum use of the battery’s capacity. If you select the highest mode, the head torch will supply you with 600 lumens and a burn time of up to 2 hours.

Hybrid concept

The Petzl Actik Core E065AA02 runs on three AAA batteries, but is also compatible with the rechargeable Petzl Core battery (included). The Petzl Core is a rechargeable Li-ion battery that you can use to replace three AAA batteries. As such, you can turn your head torch into a rechargeable version. You can easily charge the battery with a USB cable. Never worry about battery changes again!
