The Real Steel Yak is a cool EDC pocket knife with a tactical look and feel. The knife is perfect for daily use but can also handle more demanding tasks. With its blade length of 10.1 cm, it’s especially suited for demanding cutting tasks. This is not a compact knife! When closed, it measures 12.5 cm in length and it weighs 150 g.

Once opened, the sturdy back lock ensures that the blade is locked and won’t accidentally close during use. The back-lock mechanism is one of the oldest yet strongest locking mechanisms.

It is corrosion resistant, retains its sharpness well, is quite tough and easy to sharpen yourself. What more could you possibly want?



This knife has a scandi grind. As the name somewhat suggests, this method of sharpening originated in Scandinavia. A scandi edge excels at wood carving, which is why it is a popular choice for bushcraft knives. Micarta handle

The handle of this Real Steel Knives Yak is made of micarta and measures 12.5 cm in length. Micarta is a great material for pocket knife handles. This material is grippy, relatively lightweight and it looks very cool. It is composed of fabric fibres and synthetic resin. The resulting layers often even make micarta look a bit like wood. However, it is a very stable and strong material.
