The Cobra R9 and RX crossbows require specific bolts due to the special shape of their nock. The screw-on tip allows for easy changing of tip types. It’s not necessary to use hunting tips, however, it’s possible to install less penetrating hunting tips without damaging the vanes. CAUTION: You should never shoot at a target that’s too hard, like wood. We recommend special crossbow targets that stop the arrows without damaging them.
