Curtis Lovito and Mark Carey, founders of Spartan Blades, both have a military background. Keeping that target group in mind, they designed the Spartan Moros. Spartan Moros blade

The Spartan Moros has a thinly pointed blade with a black DLC coating. The spine was made even thinner to save weight. Still, the knife is very strong thanks to the full-tang construction. The blade is made from CPM S45VN steel This is a great type of steel, as it’s the improved version of CPM S35VN steel. A steel once developed in collaboration with knife maker Chris Reeve. CPM S45VN offers good sharpness retention and is also stainless. It is no coincidence that Harsey is also the person with whom Chris Reeve designed the Green Beret models. The similarities are striking.

Spartan Moros handle

The handle is made from micarta. A light-weight composite material made from linen and synthetic resin. It offers a great grip, both in wet and dry circumstances. The milled-out finger groove in the handle also contributes to this.

The Spartan Harsey Moros comes in a very good MOLLE compatible sheath made from nylon. The inside of the plastic insert is enhanced with a layer of plush textile to prevent rattling and scratches.
