The Spyderco Polestar is a practical pocket knife, for daily use. Designed by Sal Glesser, founder of Spyderco. The Polestar offers an amazing price-quality ratio. Decent materials and an appealing design, for a great price.
The shape of the Polestar is quite familiar: the Raven 2 from the Byrd collection served as an inspiration for this knife. This is, however, where the comparison stops. The Polestar wins on all counts. The blade is made from CTS-BD1 steel. An American type of steel known for how easy it is to sharpen and how tough it is. The handle is made from G10 enhanced with a blue checkerboard pattern. A remarkable version, especially for a knife in this range. The steel liners are nicely enhanced with cut-outs to reduce weight. A liner-lock locks the blade when opened.
