The Steambow AR-Series M10 Tactical Repeating Crossbow features important updates to the previous versions of the platform that make it easier to use and faster to reload and modify than ever. With the famous light weight and reliability of the earlier successful models and true ambidextrous operation for all of its added options and features, it is an incredibly flexible and powerful repeating crossbow.
A major improvement on this crossbow compared to the prior model is the completely redesigned and expanded 10-arrow detachable polymer magazine. It now holds 10 arrows instead of 6 and can be quickly and easily detached by either right-handed or left-handed shooters, and both ends of the arrows are completely enclosed.
This feature means arrows can be loaded in extra magazines—two magazines are included—and carried safely, and the magazines are sized to fit in most AR-15 magazine pouches, especially useful in combination with a MOLLE system and a tactical vest. In addition, the larger capacity of the magazine and the lower time to remove and replace it mean that shooters get much more time shooting with much less time spent reloading.
Another large enhancement on the Steambow M10 Tactical is the AR-style takedown pin that allows shooters to open the upper much faster than on previous models, enabling very quick switching of the limbs or string maintenance. The side panels now include string dampeners for quieter shots, and the improved AR-compatible buttstock has an adjustable cheek rest for customized eye alignment with the included removable fiber optic front iron sight and removable rear iron sight or other optics.
This repeating tactical crossbow uses a Gen2 AR-Series Lower Tactical that features an improved removable textured foregrip with internal storage that has better ergonomics and handling than the original edition. The ambidextrous manual safety allows shooters to completely stop the crossbow from shooting by preventing the string from moving forward until ready to shoot.
The removable front unit with integrated iron sight has a Picatinny rail on the top to accommodate optics such as dot sights, it has Picatinny accessory rails on both sides, and when removed it reveals a Picatinny rail underneath with a lower height to allow improved eye alignment with a dot sight without adjusting the cheekpiece. Also, the bottom Picatinny rail fits the improved removable foregrip and other accessories.
