The TRC Knives Apocalypse is a robust and large survival knife, made in Lithuania. With the Apocalypse TRC has presented a knife that can handle anything. The source of inspiration for the TRC is the population of the Sentinel Islands. A tribal community which has been avoiding all forms of communication with the outside world for hundreds of years. Marco Polo described the Sentinelese as the most brutal people he had ever seen. To them all outsiders are aliens, and they do whatever necessary to defend themselves. The TRC Apocalypse is the knife you want to have close whenever you find yourself in such a situation.



The blade of the TRC Knives Apocalypse is made from Böhler Elmax steel. A strong type of steel that is corrosion resistant and retains its sharpness for a long time. The flat grind is applied by hand in the TRC workshop. This rarely happens with production knives. With a 6.4 mm thick blade the knife is strong enough to carry out survival tasks. At the same time the edge is nice and thin to make sure the knife is amazing to use. This Apocalypse is enhanced with the popular Apocalypse finish. This is what the blade looks like as it comes straight out from the oven. As such each knife is unique. Something to take into account: TRC stated that the Apocalyptic finish is a little more sensitive to rust. This, however, also means that in time the knife will look even more brutal.



The handle is made from micarta. It might be hard to see on the photograph, but the surface has been enhanced with a subtle diamond pattern. As a result you will have even more grip over the knife. Because the curved tang of the blade protrudes from the handle it will feel even better in hand. The, for TRC typical, screws with the three holes make the knife look even more amazing. As such you will truly know you are dealing with a remarkable knife.



The TRC Knives Apocalypse comes with a nice kydex sheath. It beautifully fits around the knife, you can definitely tell that a lot of attention was paid to it. The sheath is enhanced with a flexible belt loop with can also be converted for left-handed use. Of course you can also select your own mounting method and screw this to the mounting holes. There is also a firesteel loop you can use to carry your firesteel (not included). Please note: kydex almost always leaves behind small scratches on the blade as it slides in and out of the sheath. This is normal.
