Guns that came with shorter barrels typically came with A contour barrels.We have also found that guns in certain calibers have the holes in different locations.The recoil pin hole location on your barrel may be different from the recesses drilled in our mount. Ruger may place their recoil pins in different locations for different calibers. Our mount will still function properly with just the rear recoil lug and the mounting screws. Our mounts are designed to use the mounting screws as the primary recoil lugs.
